Aaron Judge opens up about plans to improve performance for 2025 MLB season
The Yankees will be facing the Milwaukee Brewers for the regular season opener game on March 27. With Spring Training coming to an end soon, Aaron Judge has fastened up his progress on the performance for the new season. Judge had made it pretty clear that he wanted to "improve on the season."
During an interview with Bryan Hoch from MLB.com, Aaron Judge talked about his game plan for the regular season. With the mission to improve his performance, Judge revealed wanting to get his hands on "more at-bats." According to the Yankees captain, this might help him get a good start to the season. Sharing more details about his plans, Judge said:
“I’ve been trying to do a lot of stuff on the back fields or whatever. I’m shooting for 40-50 [at-bats]; I think that might help us start April off a little better. I definitely felt ready going into Opening Day, but when you reflect on the season, you kind of look back [and think], ‘Well, what can I maybe try to improve?’"“So, if I want to improve on the season, maybe I need more at-bats. Maybe that will help me start off the season a little better. So, we definitely felt prepared. Just looking through it, maybe this is one avenue that can help us get off to a better start," Judge further added.
Apart from talking about his game plan for the season, Aaron Judge recently made headlines when
he accepted the offer to play in the 2026 WBC as a part of Team USA. Judge's decision attracted
mixed reactions from the fans.
Apart from his WBC decision, Aaron Judge previously spoke about the New York Yankees lineup and what Juan Soto's departure did to it.
According to the captain, Soto's departure was definitely hard on the team but it hasn't affected the lineup much.
