Recently, it was announced that Joe Alwyn will be taking the stage to present an award at the Oscars. Joe Alwyn had also recently opened up about his past with Taylor in an interview with The Guardian and spoke about moving on. But now, fans feel that Taylor Swift was “used” by Joe Alwyn.


A fan took to X and commented about Joe Alwyn being a presenter at the Oscars. The comment read as, “I think he used her for roles,connection,and fame also lived off of her name,home,money,and cars like they belonged to him but I also think if he had kept working like he did before he dated her he would have had a bigger career using her was easier.”


Another fan wrote, “Honestly, I knew nothing about him while he was dating her even. I only started hearing about him after they broke up. He’s more famous for being her ex than anything.”




A third fan wrote, “he had to get a job after taylor stopped providing”.


Neither Taylor Swift nor Joe Alwyn have addressed the controversy but fans are convinced that it is Taylor Swift’s “influence” that hav made Joe Alwyn more famous.
