Does ‘nature’s Ozempic’ really work? Arsenal TV fan Robbie Lyle flaunts 7-inch waist loss using Berberine

AFTV host Robbie Lyle has revealed a dramatic weight loss, shedding seven inches from his waist since 2023. He credits the transformation to berberine-based supplements from Oxford Natural, calling them “nature’s Ozempic.” As Ozempic’s popularity grows, with celebrity users and rising concerns, Lyle’s success highlights a natural alternative gaining momentum in the weight loss conversation.
Does ‘nature’s Ozempic’ really work? Arsenal TV fan Robbie Lyle flaunts 7-inch waist loss using Berberine
Arsenal Fan TV host Robbie Lyle has stunned fans with his remarkable weight loss, sharing before-and-after photos and crediting his transformation to a natural supplement known as berberine, often called "nature’s Ozempic."

Seven Inches Off the Waist

The 52-year-old YouTube personality shared his progress on Instagram over the weekend, showing himself in a custom-made suit tailored just 18 months ago. The suit, which featured fabric from an authentic Thierry Henry match-worn Arsenal shirt, now fits far too loosely.

“I took my pride and joy bespoke Thierry Henry suit back to @cobybull today for it to be taken in,” Lyle wrote. “I’ve lost a lot of weight since they made it for me back in October 2023. I’ve actually lost 7 inches off my waist. The suit was made using an authentic match worn Thierry Henry @arsenal shirt. Thanks @cobybull and it was also great to catch up.”
Fans were quick to notice the change, with one posting a side-by-side comparison and the caption: “Fair play to Robbie on his weight loss.”

The Secret Behind the Transformation

Lyle has credited his weight loss to a supplement regimen provided by Oxford Natural, a wellness brand that formulates products around berberine, a plant-based compound widely used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine.
In a YouTube promotional video for the company, Lyle praised their products:
“Robbie here! Listen, I just want to big up Dr Andre and also big up all of the guys over there at Oxford Natural Clinic. These supplements have really been helping me! The Optimum Day, the Optimum Night. This one really helps me to get a good night sleep.
This one’s really been helping me balance my diet, helping me with my metabolism and I tell you what, I’ve lost a lot of weight. I feel really good. I’m training, I’m eating well and these supplements have really, really helped me. So, big up to them!”
According to Oxford Natural’s website, their supplements are designed to “provide enhanced weight management control, optimised metabolism, and blood sugar support.” Berberine is the key active ingredient in both their Optimum Day and Optimum Night products.
Former footballer Michael Owen is another high-profile figure to endorse the brand. He said in a video:
“Hey guys, I just want to say thanks to Oxford Natural Clinic. Since I’ve been on their programme with Dr Andre, I’ve lost 15kg. Quite a transformation!”

Berberine and the Ozempic Comparison

Lyle’s success story has emerged alongside the rising global use of Ozempic, a semaglutide-based diabetes drug now widely used off-label for weight loss. Ozempic works by mimicking the hormone GLP-1, suppressing hunger and boosting insulin release.
While Ozempic has helped many shed long-standing weight issues, doctors remain cautious about prescribing it solely for weight loss, especially for non-diabetics. Some, however, do provide it off-label.
There are still unknowns about the long-term safety of semaglutide. One concern is pancreatitis, a potentially serious side effect that has been reported in some cases.
As demand has grown, so has its celebrity following. Public figures who’ve admitted to using semaglutide-based drugs include Kelly Clarkson, Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Elon Musk, Rebel Wilson, Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Lauren Manzo, Dolores Catania, and Golnesa ‘GG’ Gharachedaghi.
Berberine, by contrast, has been used for thousands of years in herbal medicine. It’s derived from plants like the barberry and is believed to help regulate blood sugar, fight bacterial infections, and support metabolism, without the pharmaceutical risks of semaglutide.

A Natural Alternative Gaining Momentum

With more people seeking alternatives to prescription drugs, Lyle’s transformation offers a visible case study of how lifestyle change, supplemented naturally, can yield dramatic results. Once known for his larger frame as much as his outspoken match reactions, Lyle now says he feels “really good,” thanks to better eating, training, and the help of berberine-based supplements.
For those wary of Ozempic’s side effects but still searching for effective support, Lyle’s journey is a clear sign that nature’s approach may be worth a closer look.
