Ajith Kumar’s highly anticipated action thriller ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ has been leaked online just hours after its theatrical release.

The film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has reportedly surfaced on multiple piracy websites, including Filmyzilla, Movierulz, Telegram, and Tamilrockerz. The makers had earlier issued a strong appeal to fans, urging them to report illegal links and unauthorized social media accounts promoting the pirated version.

The production house shared a Tweet that read, “Every effort counts! Say NO to piracy and watch VIDAAMUYARCHI only in theatres! FEB 6th in Cinemas Worldwide #Vidaamuyarchi #Pattudala #EffortsNeverFail.” However despite these requests, the movie has been leaked online just after a few hours of it’s theatrical release.
Despite the piracy setback, ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ has made a powerful start at the box office. According to Sacnilk reports, the film collected Rs 22 crore across India on its opening day, with Tamil Nadu contributing a massive Rs 21.5 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 50 lakh. The movie recorded an impressive 61.23% overall Tamil Nadu occupancy on day one, with night shows peaking at 71.06%. However, its performance in the Hindi and Telugu markets was comparatively lower, registering 16.02% and 12.82% occupancy, respectively.
Vidaamuyarchi features an ensemble cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra, alongside Ajith Kumar in the lead.
ETimes gave a rating of 2.5 out of 5 for the Ajith starrer. Our exclusive review says that the movie is a dull outing for Ajith and his fans. ETimes review reads, “Om Prakash’s cinematography offers some good frames as he captures the deserted roads of Azerbaijan in true tone. His camera work enhances the film's visual appeal. Anirudh Ravichander is in top form, and shows off his excellence in the last few minutes. Sawadeeka stands out, and the rest of the songs are blended into the story. An action scene inside the car is delightful, and is shot very tastefully. Vidaamuyarchi might find its space with some niche audience, but a racy screenplay, especially considering the genre, and a little more emotional depth, could have made the film dearer to all.”
