Actress Jyotika, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming web series 'Dabba Cartel' on OTT on February 28, recently stirred the internet with her reply to a fan who called Thalapathy Vijay a better actor than her husband, Suriya. Jyotika kept it lighthearted and simply responded with a laughter emoji. However, the comment soon gained traction, and many shared their views below her reply. Some Instagram users continued the comparison, writing, “Pradeep Ranganathan is better than your husband Suriya” and “Truth is, Vijay is better than your husband and your husband’s brother. First, tell them to beat the Dragon and Love Today collections.”

Many social media users took screenshots of Jyotika’s comment and started circulating them on Reddit. Several fans stood by Jyotika and criticised the unnecessary comparisons, pointing out that both actors have established themselves with a strong body of work.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Jyotika shared insights into her family life, emphasising that despite their celebrity status, parenting remains their top priority. She revealed that at home, she and Suriya focus on their children’s daily routines, particularly their school meals. She humorously noted that their discussions revolve more around packing their kids' lunchboxes than their stardom.

On the work front, Jyotika was last seen in Srikanth alongside Rajkummar Rao, and she will soon be seen in the bilingual film Lion.
Meanwhile, Suriya was last seen in Kanguva, and he is now set to star in an upcoming film tentatively titled Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. On the other hand, Jyotika earlier replied to the criticisms Suriya's 'Kanguva' received online. Her Instagram post read, "I'm surprised with the negative reviews from media and certain fraternities, as it’s not done by them to this high level for the most unintellectual big budget films I have seen earlier with age old stories, where women r stalked, double meaning dialogues r spoken and have the most over the top action sequences.. N what about Kanguva's positives? The women action sequence in 2nd half and the young boy's love and betrayal for Kanguva? I think they forgot about the good parts while reviewing. Now this Makes me wonder largely whether one should ever read, listen or believe them after all!"
