Priyanka Chopra bewitches at pre-Met Gala event; strikes a post with Lupita Nyong'o and Hunter Schafer

Priyanka Chopra made a stunning appearance at a high-profile dinner event in New York City, joining Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and 'Euphoria' star Hunter Schafer.
The evening saw the actresses dress their best in shades of black as they celebrated a new collaboration between fashion designer Olivier Rousteing and a popular label. Priyanka stepped out in a shimmering black gown and wore her hair down in waves. Lupita Nyong’o opted for a striking monochrome look, while Hunter Schafer chose a bold mini-dress with tiny wings.


Photos from the event saw the ladies pose together for the shutterbugs and also catch up over drinks. It marked PeeCee's reunion with Lupita, who has been seen attending various other A-list parties and events.
The gathering came just ahead of the Met Gala, set to take place on May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The ladies, who are known to turn heads in their dramatic fashion-forward ensembles, will have all eyes on them to see how they interpret the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”. Unlike past shows that highlighted the work of very famous designers like Karl Lagerfeld or Charles James, this exhibit includes a number of up-and-coming designers.





Priyanka will have a bunch of other Indian stars also walking up the iconic stairs. Notably, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will make his debut at the Met along with fellow B-town star Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. The Desi stars have touched down in NYC and are expected to bring on their fashion A-game to the event.
This year’s gala is being co-chaired by Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and A$AP Rocky, with NBA superstar LeBron James as honorary chair.
Also guaranteed to show up is a second tier of hosts from a variety of worlds like sports stars Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens; Angel Reese and Sha’Carri Richardson; filmmakers Spike Lee, Tonya Lewis Lee and Regina King; actors Ayo Edebiri, Audra McDonald and Jeremy Pope; musicians Doechii, Usher, Tyla, Janelle Monáe and André 3000; author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; artists Jordan Casteel, Rashid Johnson and Kara Walker; playwrights Jeremy O.
