‘Jaat’ Box Office collection day 14: Sunny Deol’s action drama earns Rs 1.09 Crore, its LOWEST so far as it struggles to cross Rs 80 Crore mark
Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda’s action film ‘Jaat’ had a promising start at the cinemas, but it’s now finding it tough to maintain that momentum. Two weeks in, the movie has started to lose steam at the box office. Despite the hype and star power, it seems like ‘Jaat’ is struggling to reach the Rs 80 crore mark, let alone dream of entering the Rs 100 crore club.

Jaat’ Box Office Collection Day 14: Lowest earning yet
According to Sacnilk, as per the earlyeastimates the film collected just Rs 1.09 crore on its second Wednesday (Day 14), making it the film’s lowest single-day collection so far. With this, the total India net stands at Rs 79.22 crore. It’s close to crossing Rs 80 crore, but the slowdown is quite clear.
On Wednesday, 23 April 2025, the film saw an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.81%. Morning shows had fewer viewers, and while numbers picked up slightly by the evening and night, they were still weaker than Day 13.

Do you think 'Jaat' will reach the Rs 100 crore mark?

Competing with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari Chapter 2
One reason for the dip is the tough competition from Akshay Kumar’s new release, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. That film is doing well with audiences and has been steadily climbing the charts. As per Sacnilk’s early estimates, it earned Rs 3.20 crore on Day 6, (23rd April, Wednesday) bringing its total to Rs 42.20 crore.
‘Jaat’ released on 10 April 2025 and enjoyed a solid run in its first week. But new releases and audience choices are starting to affect its box office strength.

A special win for Sunny
While ‘Jaat’ may be slowing down, it has still given Sunny Deol an important victory. The film has officially beaten the lifetime collection of his iconic 2001 hit ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, which earned Rs 76.65 crore. This makes ‘Jaat’ his second-highest earner after ‘Gadar 2’, which made a massive Rs 525.7 crore in 2023. That’s a big deal, especially since ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ held that record for over 20 years. It also shows Sunny Deol’s ongoing popularity across different generations of movie lovers.

‘Jaat’ controversy: Scene removed after backlash
The film ‘Jaat’ sparked controversy soon after its release due to a church scene that offended some members of the Christian community. Responding swiftly, the makers removed the scene. As per Hindustan Times, they issued a statement saying, "To Whomsoever It May Concern, There has been a backlash for a specific scene in the film... We sincerely apologise to everyone whose beliefs have been hurt." The team stressed their intention was never to hurt religious sentiments.
Will ‘Jaat’ hit Rs 100 Crore?
With numbers dropping and fresh releases arriving every week, it now seems difficult for ‘Jaat’ to reach the golden Rs 100 crore mark. The coming weekend will be key. If the film can manage to draw in families or action lovers for another round, it could see a slight boost. But if ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ continues to dominate, ‘Jaat’ might get pushed further down the charts.
