BluSmart, the electric car service operating in Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, and Mumbai, experienced widespread booking failures on Wednesday, leaving many customers stranded.
BluSmart, the electric ride-hailing service once seen as a challenger to Uber and Ola, has abruptly suspended cab bookings in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The move comes amid an ongoing SEBI investigation into Gensol Engineering, BluSmart’s financial backer, over alleged fund misappropriation.

Why has BluSmart stopped operations?

While BluSmart has not issued an official statement, reports suggest that the suspension follows SEBI’s interim order against Gensol Engineering, which allegedly diverted Rs 262 crore meant for EV purchases. The company’s app remains available for download, but users are unable to book rides, with all time slots showing as unavailable.

How to claim a refund from Blu Wallet

BluSmart’s fare payment system required users to pre-load money into Blu Wallet before booking rides. With services halted, many customers are now struggling to retrieve their funds. Here’s how you can request a refund:
