NEW DELHI: Mumbai woke up to a cloudy sky and humid morning on Wednesday as light showers in the previous night brought some respite from the sweltering heat. The India Meteorological Department's Colaba observatory registered a minimum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius, exceeding the normal by 1.8 degrees. In the western suburbs, the Santacruz observatory noted a minimum temperature of 25.8 degrees Celsius, which was 2.8 degrees higher than normal. Whilst Colaba recorded no precipitation, the Santacruz observatory detected trace amounts of rainfall. For Wednesday, the IMD has issued a yellow alert indicating moderate rainfall, accompanied by warnings of thunderstorm and lightning in Mumbai.KEY HIGHLIGHTS
