Netflix's original 'Do Patti' movie starring Kriti Sanon, Shaheer Sheikh, and Kajol Devgan finds a fine-tuned touch with Kanika Dhillon's story and Shashanka Chaturvedi direction. I find it a one-time watch with a couple of improvements required (3.5 out of 5 stars).<br/>The storyline, along with the desired message/theme delivery, plus the fabulous dual poles-apart roles played by outstanding Kriti and the impressive, negative, rageful role of Shaheer, with good humor and conditioning of politics, courtship, and background, is a must to hinge over the movie. The ultimate win of the spirit of law over the word of the law and the very consideration of domestic violence as a criminal offense rather than just a civilian offense coupled with the shakable appeal to each one of us to not to let the entire generation perish into the hands of wrongful parenting resulting from domestic/sexual abuse, patriarchal understandings, and dirty play of power and politics. The music was also good to listen to, especially when perfect Kriti is featured in it.<br/>However, I personally believe that those last 30 minutes of reopening the case plea scenes were pointlessly shot, as they hold no such requirement, as it'd rather be remaining a better movie of it's even shorter film basket (1 hour, 30 minutes). Also, Kajol has not done justice with her acting sense, as she stands with a lot of it. Additionally, the vulgarity and explicit scenes catering to a young audience can also be avoided, as they would rarely impact the movie and its story/flow.<br/>I would recommend everyone watch it for once. No doubt, you'll absolutely fall in love with the acting, theme, and screenplay as they are.
